Arrived July 2013 from Somalia

“I’ve been here for three years. I came with my mom, four sisters, and two brothers. We were really happy to come to the United States. I was surprised in the first winter time. Oh my God!

I want to go to college soon. I already graduated high school in my country and have a certificate. I want to study English, Math, Science, Social Studies. A lot of people told me Math is really confusing. But you really have to pay attention to understand. It’s really easy. Everything is hard but if you really try, it’s easy.

In my country, we eat injera. I love injera. I can eat it three times a day.In American I like to eat pizza, chicken pizza! I’m always going for McDonald’s. I can get 10 or 20 of whatever I want! I go to McDonald’s and say I need twenty McChickens!”
